Thinking of heading to the Cigar City Brewery sometime in the early afternoonish on Saturday. Fancy a taste of their frothy goodness and many tasty bits at Whole Foods? I'm thinking around 2PM. E-mail me or call me if you're feeling the urge, and we can work on meeting up.

Music events and other things

I'm planning to go to the electronic music class's concert on Thursday at least for a bit. It may be interesting or horribly experimental in a bad way.

USF SYCOM FAH 101-The Music Recital Hall, for an evening of cutting-edge electronic music from the students of Prof. Paul Reller's SYCOM Studio. October 14, 2010 from 8PM-9:30PM.

Creaky Bones 5K

Stuff happening this weekend

Lots of stuff happening this weekend which I thought may be of interest to folks.

The German-American Society seems to be having a massive Oktoberfest event this weekend.

Not sure if I'll go to that one, but it's pretty amazing looking. There's even a $2 coupon online off admission rates.

I will be going to to the Fall Choral Concert at Forest Hill Presbyterian. It's where the USF choirs will be. Seems like we lack performance space on campus or something. It's from 4-5:30PM on Sunday if anyone's feeling a hankering.

Women's Soccer game!

In order to "celebrate" being done with Exam 1 regression, I am thinking of going to the Women's soccer game Thursday night at 7:30pM. Anyone interested?

First Kickball game- Go PhDivas!

Hey all- Tomorrow is our first kickball game! PhDivas! We will be playing at 4:30 on Sundays at Gandy Civic Association Fields, 4207 W. Oklahoma Ave, Tampa, FL 33616.

The league bar is Red Dog Bar and Grill, located at 3311 Bay to Bay Boulevard Tampa, FL. Each week, they will be treating each team to two free pitchers or a free pitcher and 10 wings. They will also have $3.99 domestic pitchers.

Cheerleaders welcome. It is gonna be a blast (I hope.)

Artsy things, this weekend and next

First Saturday of every month is the Ybor City Artwalk and guess what? It's September (as of tomorrow)! I know that the plan was to go to the beach, but we could always stop and do it sometime.

USF Fitness Classes

Hey guys,

I know earlier we had a post about the fitness classes, but it's so far back that I wanted to start a new one.

I looked over the schedule and I think these are the ones I'm going to try to go to (pretty ambitious right now, I know...we'll see what happens as the semester progresses):

Monday 3:00-4:00pm - Yogalates

Tuesday 5:30-6:30pm - Spinning

Thursday 3:00-4:00pm - Fitness Fusion

Let me know if anyone else would want to come with me! Working out is always more fun with a friend, and also, helpful for motivation :)
